The Park
This historic site is located at the western end of the U.S.-Mexico border on the ancestral lands of the Kumeyaay nation. Here an international monument commemorates the end of the Mexican-American War in 1848. Both countries pledged peace and friendship. Across generations, people from both sides of the border have gathered here in this spirit. But now people are kept apart by monstruous border walls. What does the future hold?

A landmark destination for families whose branches span the border. A safe place where friends can explore the site’s environs, rich history and cultural significance. We envision an exciting, shared future in membership and friendship across borders.
